A wonderful drought breaking October rainstorm was on its way out. Calm drippy fog surrounded the redwoods as I plodded through the sticky mud.

 

Then I climbed to a liminal place & moment,
a transition between winter rain & summer-like fog.

 

 

 

 

Just a couple of months before, a giant scorching fire had roared through here. Already green sprouts were reasserting life.
